About

Background and education

I’m Rodrigo ES Porto, from Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil. I have a degree in Information Systems. For a long time the job stayed on the administrative side of processes: people, quality, training, audits. That doesn’t kill curiosity. It only explains why coming back to tech feels both familiar and new.

Sales and commercial representation

I worked for a long time as a salesperson and commercial representative. I learned to listen, to explain a product in someone else’s language, to lose a deal without making a scene, and to show up the next day. I also learned that a process nobody understands becomes extra work. That stretch left me a habit I still use: if I can’t explain it simply, I don’t understand it yet.

Quality, training and audits at a multinational

Later I was a quality specialist at an American multinational. The company name doesn’t belong here. The work does. I was responsible for the quality of field collection procedures, for training on new products, and for internal and external audits. That kind of attention doesn’t like “close enough.” Checklists, evidence, a standard, new people who need to learn without getting lost. When I left, I kept the habit of writing down what I do, repeating what works, and not pretending I already know what I’m still learning.

Investing

Outside work I studied financial markets in search of asset diversification, and I put together a dividend portfolio of companies I thought were solid. I also bought cryptocurrencies. I’m telling this as biography, not as a tip. This is not investment advice. People have different timelines, risk and money.

Today: ride-hailing driver and building agents

Today I work as a ride-hailing driver and I build AI agents for my company: repetitive tasks, organization, a newsroom that helps me write. I’m curious. I look things up. I try new tools. I don’t sell a course. If something worked for me, I say so. If it failed, I say that too. And away from the screens, one more thing about me: I really enjoy wine.

Coding again with AI (and the tools I use)

I never programmed professionally. I stayed in the administrative side of processes. Now I’m coming back, through study and AI, to write code and to put together a way of easing work with agents.

I use Hermes Agent on the laptop (Hermes Desktop) and in the cloud (Hermes Cloud). The agents handle day-to-day company tasks and a newsroom that helps with writing. In the Grok ecosystem I use Grok in the app and inside X for questions, research and ideas. I use Grok Build when I want to turn a description into an app. I use Grok Bot, assistants that run tasks for me; one of them is called Darth. On the Google side I use Gemini inside Google Antigravity, the AI editor where this site was built. When a project needs code, I open Cursor. The site is made with Hugo, a static site generator, and published through Cloudflare.

None of this replaces judgment. It shortens the distance between “I know what I want” and “it’s live.”

Why I teach for free

I want to help and to teach what I’m doing so people who aren’t technical can use tools that make daily life easier. I teach for free. Just what I’m testing, in the plain language I wish I’d had at the start.
